Fishing Forum

The fishing on the Salmon River has picked up. A good amount of fresh fish have been moving up from the lake and estuary over the weekend. This has made the lake/estuary fishing quite abit slower. The water is/was low- 335cfs but it didn't mattered much, fish have begun spawning and are in a hurry to make it up the river. The water temp has dropped signifigantly- 53 degrees in the morning and only slightly warmer- 58 in the afternoon. The next few weeks look really good for the Salmon River. With a little rain to increase the water flow it could be looking even better. The other tributaries will be improving as well, again especially if we see some precipitation.
