Fished for some muskie today from 11:00 to 3:00. Nice calm fall day. Managed to catch 2 small muskie, around 30". Both came off points in 12 feet of water in the middle fork of the lake. Water temp was 63 degrees. I was using jointed lures in rainbow pattern.

Criag, you planning on floating or boat bound?

I am floating, my buddy that is coming along has a trolling motor powered canoo.

i have noticed that the fish are taking smaller lures.... i hooked 2 on accident last week on 1/8 ounce roostertails! i lost both, but i kept one on for about a half hour. i was only using 4lb test though.

Seems like the same pattern as last fall when I hooked 2 on 3" Senkos. There were also reports of anglers hooking them on curly tails. Then this year theres Craig with his 2" Daredevils. It seems that even Muskie like a snack from time to time Smile

I tell ya, my one chartreuse Daredevil has hooked more species of fish this year than anything in my box. If nothing is hitting that I am trying, I always whip it out and flick it around a bit. Wink
