Just a quickie report.

Woke at 4:50 am to head to LB. Went to garage and checked my battery and it didn't charge all night. Cable connection was bad so it never got a charge so I got it charging and gave it 4 hours. Launched @ LB at 10:30 and the weather was cloudy but the wind was somewhat calm.

Had several bites but wasn't able to land anything legitimately. Foul hooked 3 carp.

Let the nasty buggers go of course. It was cccccooooold. I tried raps, curly tails, tubes, spinnerbaits and nothing would hit. No worries, maybe next time.

That's funny, that picture of the foul hooked carp. That was exactly where I hooked my 18lb pig, just exactly behind the large spine at the head of the dorsal fin. Same exact jig and grub color combination as well. Sorry I missed out on LB, I spent the day dragging, quatering, boning, and backpacking my deer. I really should learn to shoot them closer to the road. By the way; what was the water temp?

Take your flyrod next time and some wooly buggers...those things are a blast to catch.

[cool]Nice report, Craig. I'm gonna hit Lincoln next Saturday, in search of the Walleye version of Moby Dick. From what I saw on the weather report, Saturday is gonna be the only decent fishing weather day coming up. Supposed to snow in the valley Tues night/Wed morning.
