[Wink] Well , Its getting that time of the year that people will start heading out to check the ice on the lakes. Remember to practice all the saftey pointers you've learned ! Most of the drownings during icefishing , comes at first ice when people try to get a head start on everyone else . Its not so dumb to bring a life preserver , a rope , ice picks , whatever you can think !! I think Dave has some tips on this subject on his fishing tips , check it out !! When your out there , and something happens , be prepared , or you might loose your best friend !! I'm done preaching !!!

BE SAFE !!!!!!!!!

ROFL. The 10 dozen triple-trailer semi's are on their way with loads of ice to dump in the local lake so I can get a head start on ice fishing. [Tongue]

You could always just build a floating platform and cut a hole in it. I'm just envious that the lakes will be freezing sooner up north than they will down here in Utah.

I tried that on the pontoon boat, and actualy it wasnt half bad, the only draw back was when the bass ran they would jump behind my back....[angelic]

bouy howdy did that wind blow yesterday, 11 hours with no power, thought we were going to get cooler weather after that blast. maybe in a couple weeks, I can remember 2 feet of snow by the 15th of november in south east Michigan, so maybe we will get some by turkey day.... that is unless we get the same this winter as we did from our summer a dry month then three months of precipitation...
