With Strawberry temps reported at 34 degrees (from another thread), I would think these higher lakes might be making ice. Any news on anything yet? or anybody been up there?

[cool]We've been discussing this exact topic for the past week or two on the board. Scofield doesn't have any ice on the edges or the water itself (of coarse) yet. Don't know about Hunington, but my guess would be that it may be starting to form a bit of ice on the edges since the elevation is about 8000 ft. Fuzzyfisher would be the authority on Hunington, so you may want to pm him.
Both bodies of water usually have safe ice (4 or more inches) on or a week after Thanksgiving. It's getting close, fellas, but not quite yet. We're supposed to get more storms and colder air around the middle of the month through the end of the month which should really help with the ice. Better get that last little bit of soft water fishin' out of your system, cause it won't be long before ice up.[laugh]
