I was on a 1/2 day boat out of long beach and I hooked a really wierd looking fish it looked like a prehistoric fish I have never seen anything like it. It had a lot of large teeth, a really bright gold pattern on it, it was about 10 inches long, spade shaped head ,and a slim body.The deckhand said it was a mid shipmen, what is that? has anyone ever seen one before? I wanted to know more about that kind of fish, he was let go. Thanks Tom

that sounds like a fish that my dad catches uut side of Fort Meyers he calls them sheep head. my dad catches a bunch of them, He also says they are good eaten too.

yeah I wish I had my camera we got sheephead here but it was'nt one of those. oh well you never know what your going to hook, thats fishin.
