Being dragged to Bryce Canyon over thanksgiving. Anybody know of any fishing in the area? I know that Tropic Res.is nearby. Anything else? Any tips?

Pine Lake is another good option if you can get to it. East fork of the Sevier is the closest river with artificial regs. Otter Creek is down the road a couple miles from the East fork.

Where is Pine Lake? Where can I get good access to the east fork? Any recomended fly's for this time of year?

Pine lake is about 10 miles North East of Bryce. It's one of few lakes still open on Boulder. I'd ask around the lodge if the road is passable.

There are three main pull out area's on East fork. All the private is posted, so just don't cross any fences. I'd try egg patterns, buggers and midges.

Pine Lake is going to be tough to get into (snow). If you get there, it might be pretty good fishing through the ice.

There is plenty of access in Black Canyon on the East Fork. Hedgesd already mentioned the pull outs -- these are all located on DWR property, and they are marked. The area all through Osiris Mill is also owned by the DWR and is accessible to the public. Also, the stretch of river at the end of John's Valley before the river drops down into Black Canyon is also open to the public. In all, you have about 10 miles of public access on the East Fork in Black Canyon.

Reconstruction work in Black Canyon is finished, so you shouldn't have to worry about problems with that. Reconstruction has begun on the East Fork in Kingston Canyon. I wouldn't recommend fishing it right now.
