Does anyone out there use nightcrawlers in the winter ice fishing season? My son asked the question, "if we can catch them in the summer using crawlers why not in the winter?" My response: after the frost set in they're history. But I'm sure someone has figured a way to keep them year round and use them during ice fishing outings.

Now if I was to try to keep them at home in my refrigerator I would not be having many adventures out on the ice if you catch my drift.

there are a few bait shops and pet stores who will keep a few on stock all winter for terairums. expect to pay a pretty penny for them....

rememer that all a fish wants in the winter is just a mouth full, any more will just be a waist.

i don't think they would survive long or show any animation for the still fishing thru the ice , but bouncing or floating them below a dam spillway might get some results [Wink].
