Was there tuesday, lots of ice in the bay (11"-12 ") open water in the main lake. Fishing was spotty at best.

We fished it a couple of weeks ago and the fishing was slow. However there was one group out towards the open water that caught quite a few using worm tipped with samonegg. Other than that I seen very few fish caught by anyone but it may have picked up since then.

Arrive at the bay of Mud Creek at 7:30 a.m. & fished to noon. Fishing was less than fair - caught four in the slot size (18-21 inches). Probably missed four other strikes. Very few fish on the fish finder. Ice was 10-inches thick. No body else doing any better. About a dozen fishermen at 9:00 a.m. on the ice, everyone but one was off the ice by noon.
If you are going to Strawberry, I highly recommend you go somewhere else other than Mud Creek!!!
Drove over to Strawberry Bay. The ice has formed in the bay west of the boat ramp. Still open water somewhat east of the boat ramp & out in the middle. Two guys fishing on the ice just off the boat ramp - not sure how they were doing or how thick the ice was. (Didn't look safe to me; however, it should be OK after Christmas.)
