I do alot of walleye and trophy pike (over 20 # ) I love it !! The people i meet up in Manitoba are so nice, and a few turn into very good friends. Ive been fishing down here in minnesota, and it hasnt been to bad considering all the fronts that are going through. Planning a fishing trip in the middle of July on Devils Lake N.Dakota, last year, a friend of mine and me went up there and boated 153 walleyes, and some white bass and northern pike (Jacks) for you boys up north, in 3 days, it was a blast. We caught them every way we tried, so it was fun trying some new ideas. If anybody would like to join our groupe, let me know!! Well got to go eh! remember, keep your rods bent!!!!!!!! bye Flagmanonice

Sounds like you get into some hot fishing.

That's also one of the great things about fishing in different places hey. Meeting others and getting into the fish.

Any favourite techniques, lures or baits that that make a real difference on those freshwater fish that you have noticed?

Burnin Thumbs!

Steve - The MJB
BFT Lures/Baits
http://www.demonjigs.com
Theres so many lures and ways out there, that a person can spend a life time trying. The one thing down here is, that people dont understand the walleyes that they catch are stocked by are department of natural resources, and that they raise them in rearing ponds that are under 10 ft deep, so when they end up stocking a lake, where do you think these walleyes are going to spend most of there time. A slo poke jig made weedless by a twister tail is one good way to get them out! So many ways and not enough time to try all of them, thats my problem! But the thing I do , is to find the fish , and fish them the way they want to be fished, whether crankbaits, bottombouncers , jigs, longlining, lindy rigs, slip bobbers, etc. See what i mean, The main thing is, its not how many you catch (but it helps) but by how much fun and visiting you had, keep it simple, and if you think of a strange way to fish , try it, it might be the best kept secrect to catch them!! just have fun and remember, keep your rod bent!!!! bye Flagmanonice
