Any new updates for Fish Lake? I'm headed down in 3 weeks - maybe I'll have to break the ice, so to speak, with info for that body of water.

Mr. Lipripper, Coldfooter, and Fuzzy Fisherman,

Report on Fish Lake is as of new years day: The main body of water is still open. The bottle neck at the north end has three inches of clear ice. Yes they were fishin it new years day with no ATV's. You can drive in two wheel drive clear to pelican point. South end me and the bomb fished on the moss line better known as the cheese hole. We caught 20 fish a piece splake and rainbow by noon. Approx.10 inches of ice. With several other groups with ATV's. You might be able to fish 40- 50 feet deep at the south end . And be safe. P.S. The Bomb is my 11 year old son look out he is becoming quite the challenge. JIG ON!!!!

Fished Fish Lake with the family through the ice over the weekend...we caught lots of splake, rainbows, and some perch just off the weed bed on the South end of the lake. Ice at the South end is about ten inches thick, but we did hit some thin spots; in fact, my older brother went through the ice and we almost lost a four-wheeler...be careful of the slush spots. The North end has some ice and it is being fished, but it is not nearly as thick. The main body of water had a thin sheet of ice on New Years morning....it should be freezing solid as long as the wind doesn't blow.
