Hey everybody, I can now be considered a converted lurcher, and you can thank the fuzzyfisher for finally making me do it. I met him up at Hunnington this year. It was our maiden ice voyage for the both of us and I talked to him as he was loading up his snowmobile in the parking lot. I kept putting it off until I got a digital camera and Santa took care of that this year so no more excuses!! Thax to the fuzz, hft, stickhorse, and mateo-(I believe that I met him at my dad's vet hospital) for talking me into signing up. It is about time for me to contribute to a great site and give a little pay back for all of the help that you guys have hooked me up with. For starters we did some serious traveling yesterday and fished Strawberry and Lost Crick Res. Strawberry was slower than it was last week and we found the fish in shallower as well-17-22'. I was amazed at how many people were out there for a Tuesday. As for Lost Crick Res, get the kids up there, it was a great time. Safe fishin'

You won't regret the info, especially via PM's, and the friendly gang that is BFT!! I've been on several boards and nothing compares to this one.

Welcome to the site, thanks for finally taking the step and signing up, we look forward to your future post. Also thanks for the reports, we drove by Strawberry yesterday and saw a few people out on the ice, what area were you fishing? WH2

WH2, sorry the last reply did not post. I am still very new at this thing. I did send you a pm with a picture of one of the fish. We were at the marina. One thing that really bothered me there was how inconsiderate the people on the snomobiles were. If I would of had my 9' fly rod I could of touched two of them as they fly by us. I told my cousin that I hoped he HAD enjoyed catching fish. I was right. The fish off immediately. This happened multiple times Another thing is that we were not close to the boat ramp. They could have easily gone around us. Has anyone else had this problem with the noise spooking fish? Jake

[cool]sliverslinger, welcome to the board, dude. I never fish the marina anymore because that's where the arseholes fish (people like that snowmobiler you ran into). Usually it isn't bad on weekdays in that area, and the fishing is good too, but it's been my experience on Saturdays there that there are usually a bunch of folks like that jerk there, along with 300 other people, and the fishing sucks because of all of the noise/vibrations from all of them. Fortunately, most of the masses don't know Strawberry has safe ice in most locations already, but if this massive snow storm wasn't coming in this weekend, I'd bet there'd be like 500 people in that area this Saturday, but the storm should prevent many of them from making it up there.

I fish at other places that aren't so crowded like Soldier Creek, Mud Creek Bay, Jakes Bay, and a few others. Hopefully not too many people will read this[pirate], so those locations will stay uncrowded. Good luck to ya.

Welcome to the board Sliverslinger. What area are your from. I noticed that you have Fly Fishing listed as your hobbies. If your friends with Fuzz are you from the Sanpete area as well?

maddawg, I am actually from Kaysville. I just met the fuzzyfisher when I went down to Hunnington. I do love to fly fish down in that area though. I am actually up tonight finishing a fly rod for a friend. I took him out this last summer and he really got the bug... I guess that happens to the best of us, Jake
