In the Highlights of the 2005 Utah Fishing Proclamation it states: "Mountain Dell Reservoir (Salt Lake County) will be closed to fishing beginning January 1, 2005. This is a culinary water supply for Salt Lake City. City officials asked the Utah Wildlife Board to close it to fishing, as it had been for many years."
My question is when did they open this water up to fishing and did anyone try it out?

Mountain Dell has been off limits, I think they just posted that to communicate it is off limits.

I saw that too and I couldn't help but think the way it's worded that perhaps they meant Little Dell? Mtn. Dell has been closed for a long time so I don't see why it would be an issue but perhaps all the fishing pressure at Little Dell this year is more than SLC wants to deal with and so they want it closed like it used to be and the reference to Mtn. Dell in the proc is a typo?
Just a thought

Thought that myself about Little Dell. But farther back in the proc. in the individual water listings. For Mountain Dell it says closed to fishing. And for Little Dell it has artificial flies and lures only, closed to possesion of cutthroat trout and all cutts must be immediately released. So Little Dell will still be open this year.
