The best perch water for me is Rockport, which has no ice yet. Pray for cold up there! There will be a big BFT party on the 15th of January up there if there is good ice. I hope you will be there. Let PoloKid know if you can and how many of you there will be. He needs a head count. DKS.

Welcome aboard. My favorite perch spot is Echo. We have gotten some nice ones out of there plus some nice trout. I use a worm until I get me a perch and then the eye is great to use. It doesn't come off very easy.

I don't want to be gross but there is a very easy way to remove a perch eye. Just reach in the mouth, right behind the eye and push out. Using the thumb on the same hand and at the same time, you can wedge your thumbnail under the eyeball and it will pop out whole, most the time without even damaging the eyeball.
