Yesterday one of the locals was warning people that it way getting dangerous. He showed pictures of what he called bubblers. It looked like underground springs coming up and they were quite numerous. He said the ice was down to 3 inches and predicted that there would definately be some people going for a swim Saturday. (Especially if the bubblers get covered up with fresh snow. He recommended if you go, go prepared with rope and/or other means to help pull the really big suckers back onto the ice. Good luck and be careful. If I don't get snowed in up here in Evanston I plan on being there also.

I pray for anyone going this weekend!! I hope you all have a safe return.
My pucker factor is much to low to chance it! Bait or no bait does not matter to me, but some nice perch would be a welcomed meal!
Good luck and please be extra cautious!!
