Danzilla and I went up to Non Stop today. (Red Creek) The road is definitely snow packed, and with the storms coming in might be unaccessable after. We arrived at 11:00 and it was crazy, catching 10-12 inch hatchry planters hand over fist. We couldnt even sit down due to rebaiting. We landed and released over 80 bows before leaving at 2 pm. Nothing of great size, but definitely fun to reel a bunch in. Their main attraction was jig heads tipped with Berkely Corn nuggets. fished in 20 feet of water, For Curt ( the water temp was 33 degrees with 16 inches of ice on it) [blush]

hey kid what color heads where you using?

well i started off with a red, but after awhile it was lead colored due to the paint chipping off by my pliers. Danzilla found most luck with chartruese and white. we used mealies, but the corn berkley gulp nuggets were the trick!!!

Do you use artificial money to pay for those tickets. If so that's not so bad.

Sounds like a fun and typical day at Red Creek. Where were you fishing on the little pond? Has the water level come up yet or is it still just about dry like it was in the fall? I have fished there several times and each time it's planter after planter until I fish near the dam. On the south west corner by the dam is a metal drain, or whatever it is, and I have caught more big fish in that corner than anywhere else on the lake. One day I brought in over 20 little guys and go bored so I fished by the dam and brought in three fish that each were about 20 inches. I have never ice fished Red Creek but sounds like a blast if you can avoid the sludge of wet clay.

Thanks for the update on water temp Rob, although it does not make as much difference in the winter, ha,ha. I'll have to say that is the warmest water temp I've heard of in the winter with ice on a lake. Up until I read your report, the top temp I've seen is 32*. Thanks for the report, it is for sure the best I've read in the last week. If I remember correctly Red creek is north of Fruitland before you get to Hanna?

On HWY 40 once you get to Fruitland make a left and it is up that canyon about 5 miles.
