just checked doug millers site and the rockport state park people say there is a thin layer or ice on the pond. hopefully it will stay there and get thicker real fast.

[cool]Great news! The 2nd half of next week looks to be getting very cold with temps down to 13 in the SL Valley, so hopefully that will finish off the cap of the lake, and will be safe by the weekend, or the following one.

I sure hope all the W hasn't ripped the cap off already. Temps up there have been pretty cold for the last week or so and it looks like it is going down even further. As long as we don't get too much snow on the ice it should get thick and hard in a hurry.
