Fished B. Lake yesterday. Man, what a drive. But the fishing was worth it..... I've never caught bass in the middle of winter like that. I wound up with three bass from the lake and one bluegill. The gill was a hog.... about eight or nine inches,... he wouldn't sit still on the tube apron long enough for me to measure. It was a nice day on the lake. Then I fished the outlet, creeping along the edges,.. Boy, what a hoot. You drift that little plastic along the bottom and WHAM, out of nowhere, these bass shoot out along the undercuts and then its on!! It was a blast!! I couldn't quite figure out the fishing on the lake so I wound up with nine bass and the one bluegill. Maybe it will be better when I dont' fish the day after a storm passes... I figured that might be the problem but I don't know for sure. Question for those who have been out there,.... whats with the plastic jugs anchored out in the middle? I did see one B-1 bomber (only a few hundred feet above the ground), that I didn't see until the roar of his engines made me crap in my waders.... J/K, he was right on top of me and disappearing through a gap in the mountains but not before I got a good look at the plane. Then two f-16's came in nice and low and I believe either an F-15 or F-18, but I couldn't be sure on the last one... he was really moving. That was almost the coolest part of the trip. Oh, and I surprised a coyote by the Bluegill ponds on my way out. All in all, a lot to see and a cool place to visit. The fishing aint bad either!! []
