I've heard that the road is being plowed up to the dam at Lost Creek, does any one know? I'm thinking about taking my grandpa out on sat. so I am also wondering what the snow/slush conditions are like up there?

I am also a new member and really appreciate all the great info on this site, thanks. Don't worry, I plan on posting my fair share of info as well! [Smile]

I took a couple of guys up to Lost Creek today and the road is plowed all the way to the dam. It also looks like they have plowed all the way to the boat ramp. We saw several trucks going that direction. All the slush on the ice was frozen. There is a thin layer of water between the ice and slush, but you can walk on it ok. Ice was 10" in most places. At 7:30 it was -1 according to the truck.
As for the fishing: Slooooooooow. This was one of the toughest days I have had up there. It looked like everyone there caught fish but only a couple here and there. We got 15 or so between 3 or us. We used boogers, watta crickets, foxies, rat finkies, ratso's, crappie jigs, you name it we tried it. We could only get one fish on anything we tried. Now I did have a group of three guys come over by us and killed them. They had on a blue, or orange ratso, or paddle bug below a kastmaster. I have never seen a blue color work before, but we sure got schooled today. They probably caught 60-70 fish and they fished about 30 yards away to rub it in.
