Got to Lost Creek about 8:30 this morning. Sure was nice to see the sun and blue skies. The fishing was not as fast as usual.
I tried whatta crickets, boogers, rat finkies and other ice flies, tipped with mealworms and waxworms. I was fishing about 60ft from the dam, in 38ft of water. Most of the fish were suspended in 3-12ft of water and 19-24ft., according to the fish finder.
Ice is about 11 inches thick. There was a guy who drove his fourwheeler out onto the ice. It was a good day to be out on the ice. Too bad the fishing was kind of slow for me. Oh well, i guess not everyday can be Christmas.
