Went to Rockport this morning. Got there just at daylight. Beautiful morning. It took a few holes to cozy up to the perch but as other reports are saying, the perch are hanging around 40 to 60 feet. I fished the west side just down from the first outhouses coming from the north. We limited out and were on our way home by 9:30. Perch eye seemed to be the ticket for me. Note: I would suggest not wandering our towards the middle. That is very new ice. It's pretty easy to see where old ice ends and new ice begins if you're looking and know what to see. With fishing as good as it is along shore there is no reason to get too adventurous. Enjoy everyone, I think we're finally safe for a while.
