Full Version: Cod Fish In Tomato Sauce

[size 1]1 pound of dry boneless cod fish
1 medium bell pepper
1 medium onion
1 small can of tomato sauce
pinch of salt
pinch pepper
1 tablespoon of sorfito
1 teaspoon of oil (corn or olive oil)
1 medium potato
1 clove of garlic

Take the codfish and boil in a pot of water for a few minutes. After codfish has cooled remove from water and taste to see that it is not too salty. Keep in water until it is not too salty. In another pot pour the oil sorfito, dice pepper, onion and chopped garlic until everything is warm. Add the can of tomato sauce and codfish. Add 1 cup of water. Peel potato and dice in small pieces. Add salt and pepper to taste. Lower flame and cover. Let simmer for about 45 minutes. Just let the potatoes get soft and the sauce thick. If want sauce thicker add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. This is served over white rice or yucca. Add a salad on the side
