Had the day off and hit Rock Cliffs today. Kastmaster joined me there. Got there about 2:00 PM. The walk out wasn't too bad with the new snow. We fished in 19 ft. of water. Fairly typical fare for the X, steady action on lots of smallish perch and a few better ones. The perchies ran smaller this time compared to my last trip here, but we did manage to get a nice mess of decent ones too. We were hoping to run into some trout, they were tougher to come by, but I did get 2 modest ones. Perfect conditions, and 12-14 inches of ice. There was one other group out there. I didn't see how they did. Left about 5:30. Rockport still has better size on the perchies, but if you want to get away from the crowds and get some exercise, this works too.
