What a great day on the ice, once I got there. Rain turned to snow at the mouth of Weber canyon, making for a slow one lane drive up the canyon. Hit the ice a little after 7am. I knew it was going to be a good day when I had one on before I could even get the finder set up, lost that one at the hole, but it was a good sign. Iced 5 fish by a little after 8am, biggest being 16". The weather was good with a little on and off snow, but no wind. Left at 1:30 after icing 15+ fish, all between 14 and 16 inches (were a few small ones), but I would rather catch a small 13" fish at East Canyon that is fat, then catch the anorexic ones at Lost creek. Every one in the party did well, limiting out then just catch and release. Caught them on a variety of set ups from tubes and paddles tipped with meal worms, earth worms and salmon eggs. White and green worked well for me, but other colors worked well also. Fish were at all depths, just followed them with the finder. Ice was good and approx. 6 to 8 inches thick. Fished the first turn out past Taylor Hollow.

Thanks for the report, sounds like you had a good day. Did you see a lot of people fishing the same area? WH2

No, there were very few people on the ice. One group of 8 about 100 yards north of us and another small group about 200 yards south of us, and that was all I saw the whole day. I did notice a few groups out on the ice by the dam on my way back. There is still a lot of open water up there.
