I hit Mantua sunday morning. On the ice at 9:00am fished till about 11:00am. I never got a single hit!!! I fished in 19' water straight out from the pump house on the dam. I had tons of "looks" according to the fishfinder but no actual takes. With the artificial only restriction being lifted I thought some fish in there would react to some different baits. I geuss not. I tried the following.

white boogers
green boogers
white whata-crickets
green whata-crickets
pearl 2.5" tubes
white,green,& orange ratfinkees
w/ kastmasters and w/o kastmasters
all tipped with mealies and waxies

can anyone advise me on this lake? I really got whooped on suday.
It's almost like the fish gods are punishing me for some unknown transgression.....

[cool]Sounds like the same experience I had last month out there. I caught one Perch that was 11 inches, but nothing else, and the other 3 in my party caught nada. I'm not too impressed with that place-at least during ice season. Might try it again in the summer or fall from a boat or tube.

Have not fished Mantua in years. But has with any lake I fish I move around alot it I am not getting bites.
