Spent Saturday fishing with my brother-in-law at a private pond outside of Evanston Wyo. Here are few pictures of some nice fish we caught. Keep in mind when you look at them, we started fishing in 20 feet of water with no bites and eventually moved in to 5 feet of water and that is where we caught all of our fish. Have you ever caught a six pound fish in 5 feet of water through two feet of ice? What an experience that was.
wow momma
must be nice to have someone with a private pond with that kind of fish in it.

I experienced a similar situation at Daniels Res' in Idaho a few years back. We were fishing in 3 feet of water and catching huge rainbows. It was very tiring however because you had to keep a white knuckle death grip on your pole the whole time in anticipation of a savage hit. Did you have to white knuckle it?

Minersville. 7 feet of water, but only 5 to 10 inches of ice. The hits aren't savage, and by the time you set the hook, the fish is half way to the hole.

Those are some really sweet bows! Man it would suck to own a pond with fish like that in it

The ones we were catching at Daniels would hit hard and take off like a rocket horizontally because there was no room for them to go down. When they hit you had to immediately move your rod tip to the opposite side of the hole from the direction they were running or you'd get sawed off on the edge of the hole in an instant. What a rush!
