Do you have experience keeping worms/nightcrawlers? What are your methods, materials, etc? How long can you keep them? Do they readily reproduce or do you need to constantly re-stock? I'm not interested in one or two dozen in the fridge for a week or so but more of a cooler/box that can be utilized throughout the season.

I've never kept more than a dozen or two in the fridge. I have however kept mealies. They are pretty easy to manage...not much effort, but they only grow into beetles if you leave them out too long.

You can keep them through the summer in a wooden box with screen on the bottom that is buried in a cool damp area in the yard. The perefered location is on the North side of the house. The number that you can keep is only regulated by the size of the box.
