[black]Just wanted everyone to know that we recieved about 8"-10" of snow last night. This was a super heavy snow and we are just getting plowed out up here. As far as I know the ramps haven't been plowed yet. I wouldn't think that it would be a big deal off of Cisco anyway, the snow seems to have froze up cause of the cold temps this morning. The ice that was forming has pushed up a little but for the most part it is still floating out on the big lake, somewhere. It is tough to see it since the winds picked up and the water pushed up over it. If you venture out be careful so that you don't smash up your boat on some hiden ice berg.

Fishing has still be real good. The Whitefish are in thick, still, and the trout seem to be back on the bite. Fish in deeper waters for your trout 50'-100' and in shallow for some smaller trout, Whitefish, and an occational Perch!

Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for the update Darin, I was hoping to make it up there on Monday but I'm having my doubts now. The weather seems very uncertain this week but you never know what might happen up there by Monday. I'll keep my fingers crossed and please keep the reports coming, thanks again. WH2

Thanks for the report. Is the marina froze or can it be used?

[black]The marina is still frozen over, looks like it will be some time till it breaks up. As soon as it does I will make sure to get it posted, you and me both are awaiting the day for it to break so we can get out on the big blue waters![/black]

UPDATE:
The weather turned bitter cold last night. We finally seen our first day of below zero weather. If it keeps this up it won't take long to freeze it up. I, for one, don't want it to freeze now, it's just too late in the year and it makes spring come so much later. Oh well, if I don't want it to come it probably will.

I would just as soon see 5 more feet of snow!! Ice or no ice, we need the water bad! I can fish any other time but blue needs to fill back up.

Is the marina breakwater area fishable for whites??? I will be up Friday and want to go out Saturday for a few hours.

[black]The lake was almost totally open water just a couple of days ago, before the storm moved in. (LOTS OF BIG WINDS) The last couple of days has been super [#0000ff]cold [/#0000ff][#500028]and the lake is freezing up fast. As of this morning the water in front of the Marina was frozen. It might warm up enough to day, or the wind might kick up, but that would be your only hope. I don't see it warming up too much, and the winds are not supposed to blow so I would say you might have a better chance drilling a hole inside of the marina, under the docks, and maybe picking off an occational whitie. You will only be fishing in about 2' of water![/#500028][/black]
