I am heading up this weekend and was wondering if anyone had been up lately. I am hoping to catch a lot of fish they dont have to be big, does anyone have any info on where I could do this(I am taking a few kids so I want to get them into a few fish) Thanks in advance for the info!

If you can get away from the crowds you can find some more active fish. If not, the pickins can be quite slim. Try a variety of lures/jigs, as they seem to take a liking to different tactics at different times. What worked well one day didn't necessarily work well the next day, so keep changing until you find something they want to eat. Fish in 25-40 feet of water, and good luck.

So how are the slush and snow conditions? That is the key to getting away from the crowds. Is it going to kill my out of shape body to try to walk away from the crowds through snow and slush? Is the snow too deep for an ATV?
I would love to get out one more time at least, but I won't do it if I'm confined to where the crowds are. Sure wish I could get the snowmobiles running!!!

Last weekend the snow was about 12 inches deep. There was no slush at that time. I've heard there is a little less snow due to some wind, so a 4 wheel drive ATV might do OK, but it might be a risk as well, especially if you hit any drifts. Wish I had a snowmobile as well.

Try Watta Crickets tipped with wax or meal worms, and what has worked well for me is a red Ant tipped with mealworm and use a Kastmaster above it as an attractor.GOOD LUCK!! PEACE!!!
