I drove by there Sunday on my way back from rockport. The inlet area was frozen, with a few people fishing it. The coves were frozen around pretty much the whole lake, but the middle was open. Most people I saw were fishing by the dam.
I have no idea how the success was.

A buddy of mine fished it yesterday and did very well. I'm not sure his exact location, however he was out on the ice. He e-mailed me some photos of some 15-17 inch bows that he caught. He said fish were suspended in 20-40ft of water. He used ratso beneath a castmaster and tipped wax or meal worm and topped off with some anchovy smelly jelly.. He also said the action stopped at around 4pm..

Was up there a week ago today. We fished down towards the inlet near the set of three buoys that go across the lake on the west side of the lake. You"ll see a picnic table on that bank which we fished about 20 yards off of.The water we were in was 25 feet deep and we kept our bait about a foot off the bottom. The fish there didn't seem to want any type of lure or jig in their face so try a size 12 or 10 gold salmon egg hook totally covered with wax worms and salmon eggs with a split shot to get it down.Fishin wasn't fast and furious but consistent ( if that makes sense! )Most fish ranged in the 14-16 inch area.Have fun and let us know how you do.

did you happen to notice if there was ice at the end of the boat ramp?

I drove by today and there was a boat out on the lake. There was ice around the boat ramp but it must have been thin that they were able to launch. There was also about 2 dozen guys out ice fishing.
