] Hit the " The Rock" on Saturday with my daughter and a good friend. Parked at the boat ramp and went North. The vexilar put us in 44' of water. Dropped down to the bottom and WHAM. my daughter was on the board first with 2 nice perchies. Then me and my buddy got in on the fun. Between the three of us we hooked up on a nice mess of fish in two and a half hours. The wind sucked but still had a great time.
As I fillet out the fish today I noticed that I had a good share of male fish. I had read previous posts about the amount of females full of eggs. I would bet that at least half of our fish if not more were males. fello bfters talked about more males coming around later in the season. Is this true? Just curious. Anyway got a nice mess of fillets for a meal here in a few days. Lots of folks up there all over the lake. Used green and red rat finkies with waxies below a small kastmaster on the bottom. forgot my radio to see who was around. oh well next time.
