As tubedude said all of the above is true. I too cannot wait for the water to warm up preferably in the 50's and up, that is when smallies comes alive. You can catch them in May, but june july aug are the best months when smallies are very active.

To keep the perch off your line, use the bigger senkos in the 4-5 inch range. As far as colors go, PM any of us and we are happy to help...
