Okay enought already with the rain. I have been thinking about doing a little tubing & fishing in the street in front of my house. Just waiting for them to stock my gutter. [
] Hey there tubeN2 - how are the lakes looking up in your area? Lake Irvine is full but dirty. Haven't been there in months. Just waiting until it is safe to drive out to the fishing spots. They have been taking people out by boat to trout island. By the way tubeN2 will give you a call at the end of the week re the FF show.[/#005000]

[#005000][cool]Hey there Fourstrings88 - having lived in South Florida for several years I won't complain to much about all the rain that we've been having. Except we don't need it all at one time. Right now we are under a tornado watch. Sounds like the ideal place to live. Rain storms, tornados, mud slides, fire storms, earthquakes and when the rain does stop we probabaly won't see another drop for 8 to 9 months.[/#005000]

Hey Dryrod. I'm getting some severe cabin fever. I am looking for a clean body of water to fish. I don't mind the rain. I have caught some of my best trout in the rain in Idaho and Utah.
This weekend I'm going to Castaic to see if I can stir up a couple of Stripers for tablefare.
A friend of mine gave me a Ranger Bass Boat to babysit until August. He gave me unlimited usage of it to boot.
I will wait for your call towards the end of the week. I am definetely going over there on Sunday to the show.[cool]

Down here in Southern Nevada, we're in a similar boat as you tubeN2. Only the Southern California boat is a little bigger though. For us 2 month into this year and we've got our annual rainfall surpassed. Since October Lake Mead has come up 13' according to one report. That's a lot of water, no matter how you look at it.
tubeN2, let's not do like you did last year with the LMB in the lagoon. I expect there to be some of those Striper left for when I get over there.
Take care,
David

Hey Powermaker, I'll be sure to save you some Stripers. They have been catching them in the 20 to 30lb class this past week. Even with the rain.
We have 26 inches so far for the season. There was only 4 inches the previous years season. It's still raining and raining and I'm glad I have my little Ranger (Ark). It won't carry many belongings but it will carry some fishing poles in the event of a major flood.[cool]

I have it quoted, it's lock in stone now. 26" so far, WOW. My little Bass Hunter wouldn't stand a chance again that kind of water. But it will carry an ice chest full of, of you know.
Take care,
David

Time to come out of hibernation for me!
Gonna hit some water today...
or at least go driving around and looking for open water.
I need to or I'm gonna choke someone soon!
I have carp gear and Pike gear.
Gonna play hooky and go scouting!
Hopefully I can come back
with good news and fish slime on my hands!

Thanks tubeN2
This time of the year.. a day of fishing is about 2 hours...
no fishies... just ice, snow and some water.
I did take some pictures though.
I will add them later.. and I will definately add them to my website.
My website's photo galleries have grown this winter.. you guys ought to check them out...

FisherMOM, welcome back! We missed ya.
If it's ice fishing you're looking for, come on over! We've still got a couple more weeks of it. It's time to get geared up for panfish. Just about every sports fish is out of season. So it's panfish and "underutilized" (rough) fish.
