Took the kiddies to clinton pond today, hoping to lay into a catfish, or one of the bass they planted last fall...fished a couple of hours, not even a bite. maybe after they stock it again this spring.

I just signed the contract on my lot yesterday, about 100 feet from Clinton Pond. I start my house in about 2 weeks and it should be done by the 4th of July. I was wondering if there were fish in there.

I live just a couple of miles from Clinton pond and a buddy and I have never ever caught a single fish out of there. I have seen some nice cats come out of there, but not on our poles.

My understanding of the pond is that it was opened, and stocked last april. I am sure it is going to take a few years, and a lot of stocking for it to become as good of a fishery as farmington or kaysville ponds. It's nice that the kids can ride there bikes there in the eves / summer and fish. A good way to keep them doing something other than watching TV.
