We made it up to causey and were on the ice by 8:00. Great day. We were the first ones on the ice. We only managed three fish. My daughter caught two and one for me. All three were 7-8 inch splake. Threw them back for another day. Lots of bites. The daughter caught hers on a green glow in the dark rat finkie below a kastmaster. I caught mine on a white booger below a kastmaster. Both tipped with a wax worm.
Ice conditions are good. Edges were nice and tight. no problem. left at 11:00 because it had slowed way down with no bites. Lots of fish on the Sonar. periodic suspended fish coming through.
I figure the ice to be around 18". 9" white ice on top, 9" clear ice underneath.
Always another day to hook up. I'm gonna get the boat ready to get out here pretty quicck.
