Fished the marina area today . Only hook one cutt and about 100 perch . Biggest perch were 8" , cutt went 17" and was a fatty compared to the last one I caught from there . No Bows but I bet they were in the Rockcliff area . Ice is 7" to 10" . Soft on top but OK . Fished 90' to 10' of water . Found a flooded tree in about 56' of water , but everytime I had a good tug on it would tangle me up . Lots of action there just couldn't get anything thru that mess but perch . I hate losing tackle ice fishin'. It just aint right . My cutt pic didn't turn out to well . The sun just come over the mountain and I don't think the camera was working right .
Open water side ,I checked around and no one was catching fish . Boater I talk to said they didn't have any luck . Still about 8 boat trailers parked when I left . Water temp on ice side was 33 degrees .

Thanks for the report Randy. Did you walk in on the boat ramp?

I walked right down the main ramp . Ice is good on the edges . Just a little slick in spots . Park boys have some hole chopped in the ice right at the bottom of the ramp . Not sure what is going on . See pic . I worked all the way north to the next point .

I think that it's for underwater ice training for Police and Firemen. I have seen them doing it out at Red fleet a couple of years ago. Thanks for the report.

That second picture sure is a nice one, with the mountains in the back ground, thanks for sharing it. I would say there is nothing wrong with your camera on the shot of the trout, it looks like it was just the angle that you took the picture. Too much glare, I've had the same problem, so now I always take two pictures, each from a different angle.

Thanks Curt . I usually get some scenic pics when I am out in the mountains . Put a new one on my computer desktop every week . I think it might of been a little cold when I took that pic too and the cutt I wanted to get her back in the water . I was having a hard time keeping my icehole clear of ice until about 11:00am . Ice has been getting thicker every week at Lake X for the last month . I think it has something to do with all the snow on the ground . I for one don't think the ice is going away just yet . Some of the open water from 2 weeks ago has froze up now .
