& it is a resevoir between Yuba and Delta. The IPP power plant pumps their water from the river at this point. The last few years it has been a river channel basically by the fall and not much for fishing. There are several springs between Yuba and this lake that will put a lot of water back into the lake over winter but then they start irrigating. I'm sure if ya like carp you might would have opportunities. I have never seen anything that would make me want to fish it. If the water levels would remain somewhat stable it would make a good catfish and bass lake and I have heard that it was at one time.

Mike- D.M.A.D. is an irrigation reservoir on the Sevier river about three miles north of Delta off US 6 going toward Lynndyl. It is warm water fishery but I never had much luck fishing there. There isn't much structure and it is like a bathtub. There is a chance for anything from LMB,SMB, white bass, walleye, carp, channel cats, perch, etc, but it is quite shallow and hard to fish. Its name comes from the Delta, Melville, Abraham and Deseret irrigation companies that store water in it and diversion out into the canals. The Intermountain Power Project pipes its water from there to the plant about ten miles away. IPP has large holding ponds on their property and there are some very large fish in them from DMAD. I have heard several stories of employees who caught fish out of them (without IPP permission). IPP doesn't allow fishing there, and so the fish have grown large with no one trying to catch them. There could possibly be state record fish there, but who will ever know? I fished the "A" canal for white bass and channel cats in the river holes down the river from the spillway. One day I went to fish on a sandy bar along the river and noticed a very large cougar paw print in the sand. I didn't know how old the print was, but I decided not to stick around in case he was still close. That sure made me nervous. Once is awhile you would hear a report of a nice bass or walleye coming out of the Gunnison Bend reservoir to the west of Delta, but not much from DMAD. I didn't have a boat then to explore them much, but the water is quite dirty and filthy. Acey
