Well I finally did it. Last weekend I bought the pontoon I've been looking for. With some minor mods and experimentation I'll be looking to get on the waters soon. When I figure out how to put it all together. Figure out what I want to bring on it, the next step is to figure out how to get it to the water. Since I don't hve a truck and just a little 4-banger I'm looking at getting a small utility trailer to tag along behind. I've been to Harbor Freight and seen what they have, and the little 4X6 looks promising, just need the save up funds to put it all together. Hope to see some of you out on the waters soon.

Sweet dude! I think you'll really enjoy being out in a toon. It's really nice when you can get onto bodies of water that don't really have any boats on them.

Thats the same direction I'm headed. I've had my float tube for a few years now and am looking for something different. What kind did you get? Al

Awesome to have another tooner joining the BFT fleet.
If you are up to having me tag along on the maiden voyage let me know.
You going to put a motor on yours?

FFM, when I go fishing in my Cherokee, I take a pump with me. It only takes a few minutes to pump the bladders up and put the toon together. I have also placed the toon on top of the Jeep, but I have noticed some wear spots on the toon where the tie downs rub as I am driving. The pump that I use has a two way action so it adds air on both the up and down strokes. I have also used a tire pump that plugs into a vehicle to inflate the toon part way, and then topped it off with the hand pump. That is even faster.

nice to see you joined the tooners. I have loved mine. I bought that 12' toon that petty was selling and hooked up a trolling motor to the front and have been haveing a blast on it. If you want to see my setup there are a bunch of pics on the floattubers board back a few pages. well hope to see ya around,

FFM-Sounds like you will have the same set up as me,the trailer works good,as you can have the pontoon inflated and ready to go.I have a motor and battery with built in holders on the trailer.Takes about 10 min. to get on the water[

Just have to work out a few details before the little motor gets mounted. And sure we can make things happen for the maiden voyage.

Stll need to pick up the pume, but I've got one that will work that plugs into the car.

That is the goal, something quick and easy to set up

FFM-Just a note, you will need a hand pump. When I got my first pontoon,I tried to pump it up with just a dc power pump-looked kind of funny on the lake[
