I just wanted to say thanks to 22nd St. Landing in San Pedro and the "First String" for putting on a beautiful service for Russ Izor yesterday.
We departed around 2:00 p.m. yesterday on the First String that was absolutely packed with friends and family of the great Russ Izor. We traveled out just past the light and stopped on the spot the Russ wanted. Great respects were given and then his ashes were spread over the Pacific and drifted to the infamous fishing spot....."Izors" reef.
If was a great privelage to be there and very to see such a great loss of someone who basically put sportfishing on the map in this area....and on top of that, a very wonderful and intellectual man.
Rest in Peace Russ...........
