The fishing is still quite good at Strawberry. Spotty today, but when the fish came in, all were over 19"! Really was hot between 12:30 and 2:00pm. Go figure!
Surface got just a little slushy when we left, but nothing to worry about . . . yet.
But days like today will rot the surface fast!

Maybe you will get another trip in soon.

I had a friend that wanted to give her one last go tomorrow, so he called the marina to see what the ice conditions were like. They told him two 4 wheelers were stuck out on the ice somewhere, and that they may have to get an airboat to drag them out. They didn't say where they were stuck at, but we decided to bag the trip. Not worth walking back to the marina for several miles.

I wouldn't bag it just for that. You can walk less than a quarter-mile and get on fish!
The only ones we saw "motorized" yesterday was 2 snowmobiles and one 4-wheeler, and neither had trouble. But I can see how, if you weren't paying attention around an edge with a south-facing slope, that a person could get stuck.
One of the stuck 4-wheelers I heard about was near the Strawberry River inlet. - Not too smart ...
But the fishing is still dang good, man!

Did you fish at the marina this time? How far did you walk out? I am debating on going tomorrow in the snow. Due to other reasons, it will be my last chance on the hard deck.[

We've gone north of the marina, but I've seen more people moving either south, or just moving straight out away from the boat ramp.
I know we've done well moving the other direction, perhaps because it's not getting as much pressure.
Just cut a lot of holes, move about some, and when the fish move in ... hold on! We've been up 3 times in past 8 days, and had a ball each time.
Good luck!
