had a great day on the middle provo midge hacth around mid day fishin became wild for a while at that time the rest of the day was slower but was still caughting fish

Thanks for posting your report Brad and welcome to the site. We don't get many reports about the Provo but there are a few of the guys that sure enjoy flyfishing reports. Were you catching browns, cutts, bows or all the above? Any size to them? WH2

Is the middle section the one below Deer Creek Reservoir? I used to fish there and had some great days. Someone there introduced me to the chamois caddis and the serindipity. Both flies are now always in my fly box. I also used a red fox squirrel with good success on the Provo.

the fish that we were catching were all of the above they varied in size most were between 12 and 16 inches not to bad good day

The middle section of the Provo is considered to be the section between Deer Creek (above deer creek) and Jordanelle Reservoirs (below Jordanelle). The part BELOW Deer Creek is considered the lower provo.
