I am ready to get my toon and fly rod on the soft water. Have heard of some luck on jordanelle, and some good reports about rockport. Anyone fished either recently, or going this weekend ? I will have a day off next tuesday, and would like any reports....thanks

Hit Jordanelle for a couple of hours today. To say it was slow wouldn't be doing the catching justice. Didn't get a hit, nibble,or bump in over 2 hours. Waters temps in low 40s still, wind and rain mixed with occsional snow. Not the best early spring day for lake X.

Hey Marty , did you float tube , boat , or shore fish it today . Also did you fish Rockcliff or Hailstone . I pick up a new tube at Hooked and itchin' to hook up on something with it .

Marty, that sounds like it was even slower than we hit it early a couple years ago.

Hi Randy, I tubed it today. Headed to the Cliffs to catch some perch.. Well try and catch some perch. LOL They weren't interested in anything, not even their own from the freezer. Heck I thought I'd do a lot better in my backyard than I did at Powell .......... Shows ya what I know.
When this weather breaks (if) we'll have to hookup and soak a hook over at Lake X..
BTW what kind of tube did ya get? Round (grins), fishcat type, or toon type?

Slower than it was when I took the boat for a tune-up pre-Powell. At least then during the storm we marked fish. Yeppers Kent it was slower than 2 years ago by far. But I'm waiting for those temps to rise a few degrees and we'll be back into them again. Now if I can get the weather to agree.

Marty , I think you would have better luck chasing trout right now . Perch are going into spawn mode most likely . Float tube I picked up is a Fishcat 4 . I am interested in hitting Jordanelle soon with it . I think I will be fishing Jordanelle more this year because it is close to home and with gas prices lately .

Yeah all the old timers and bass chasers are saying trout is the fish of the day. If I wanted bows I would have been over by Hailstone or the PWC area. A couple of weeks ago FB2 and I marked too many fish at Rockcliff to be trout or bass. I was hoping for some ultra light fun. There's always the next trip, it's not like I have far to go.
Hey what'd pay for the fishcat? That's if you don't mind me asking. And since your going to be living in my backyard this year, give me a holler when your coming. If I hear from you soon enough I'll meet ya there. You still have my number?
