Hi fellow fishin fanatics I'm new to the forum. Just wondering if anyone can give me some tips. I'm going to the Gorge this sunday fishing with my kids for rainbows who can tell me where the hot spots are?[D] [cool]
I"ve been up a couple of times this year. We caught fish at Squaw Hollow and at Sheep creek. For the next few weeks it should be pretty good in the bays where the bows are heading for the spawn. By the visitor's center and mustang ridge are good bets too. We had the best luck with 2 1/2 " green tube jigs. Did catch a Mack on a worm and marshmallow at Squaw Hollow.
Good Luck

Will you be fishing from a boat or from shore? It seems that the shore fishermen have been outfishing the boat fishermen lately for the rainbows. We did very well last weekend in the back of a bay just south of the pipeline. Worms with marshmellows off the bottom and a worm suspended about 6 feet below a bobber worked equally well. I would estimate that we were fishing in 10 to 15 feet of water. Good Luck.

Fishry, thanks to you and Redbeard. I now have a better idea of where to go and what to use. I'll be fishing from shore this trip but thats ok I like it either way. Again thanks for the heads up.[Wink]
