Over the years investigating fish stomachs I have found the prolific lizard fish in the gullets of many of the fished I have caught. The largest halibut I have seen caught was observed chasing and inhaling a hooked 20 inch lizard fish. The butt was in the 40 pound class and seen by a number of anglers as it actually splashed on the surface chasing down the "lizard".Lizard fish live in exactly the same habitat as the halibut and become a common food source for "butts". So don't throw them back when you catch them, toss them in the bait tank while you tie on a number 7/0 hook. Pin the fish through the upper jaw and drop him down to the bottom and wait for the giants. George
