This flathead was 66 pounds. It was released to spawn, grow, and fight again[]

YOU'RE THE MAN!! I see pictures of you and your fish all over the web and they are all incredible Kats! If I rember correctly I've seen a photo of you with three not much smaller then that lying on the riverbank prior to release, it was a great photo!
What was that beast caught on?

Mike that fish was caught on a 3 or 4 inch goldfish[cool] I try to get 5 inch goldfish for bait but they aren't always available. When no goldfish are available I will use rock bass or small carp. I have used suckers, koi, and bluegills to catch flatheads.
Or did you mean like my Quantum Big Cat rod (heavy) and Shimano Charter Special reel?[shocked]
BTW I also caught a 45 the same night as the 66. I had fished alone and was too tired to get pix of the 45. I did get video of releasing the 66. You can tell in the video I was whupped[unsure]
