[black]Hit Willard today with Polo. Figured it looked like the best day of the weekend to fish and it didn't disappoint us. It was nice to get out and feel the sun again. The fishing was slow but we did manage 5 wipers but all five were 12" or less so we sent them home to grow up a bit. All were caught out in front of the North Marina on various deep divers.[/black]

Hey Rich, thanks for the report. Is Willard full yet?

Thanks for report. Wish the weather would have held out for this weekend. Petty and I were thinking about hitting it Sunday but the weather doesn't look like its going to cooperate. How deep was the water?

[black]The Bay is getting pretty close to full capacity I would think. We were fishing in depths up to 20 ft but it's 6 ft deeper on the west end. Our fish were caught in 16 - 18 ft of water.[/black]

Well, here's the report from the south marnina/inlet.. We were on the north side of the marina where you have to hike in a couple miles from the road following the inlet.. settled in out at the entry way for the boats... been there from 10am to about 6:30pm
Caught a total of three Catfish, sent them back home to grow up a bit as all were fairly gimpy..
Had a ton of boats violating no wake zones, now if we could just get the sherriff's or park rangers or whoever out there on that police boat and start giving tickets, they'd all have there quota before the boaters realized there was a cop there..
all though my thanks out to a couple in a blow up raft just looking to chill came out after 2 pm and hooked up to the no wake buoy and helped keep alot of boats from going to fast as they'd probably get swamped..
as for the hieght, I have been out there for the past 4 weeks and the water level is getting to be astonishing on how fast it's coming up.. though I still suspect it will be a month or so before it's completly full..
Bugs are getting nasty too, and if it wasn't for that wannabe river/whatever you wanna call it.. the water moves so slow, and anything could breed there by the looks of it.. not to mention it stretches half way around the lake..
anyhow, I know it's a bit long. but hey, had alot to say..
as for any boaters that love to scream out of the marina's please slow down as you just kill the fishing for us when you create waves that splash us, and splash hard.. Though, I am sure you all are considerate enough to follow the rules..

Thanks for posting your report BLM, I was wondering if anyone was going to give it a try yesterday. The last time we caught one of those small wipers, we dragged it awhile before we figured out there was a fish on and reeled it in. Were there many boats out there yesterday?

BLM, Thanks for the report. We saw the Boomerang heading up the Canyon last night. We Were coming back from lee's. We dropped the Trophy off for some work. My Dad & I can't say enough about the service/work they do at Lee's Marine. Can't wait to get the Fiberform out on the water...........

[black]Heard you guys liked the Jet Connex trailer leads enough to order one! Those trailer leads rock! They sure clean up the mess of plug wires coming off the trailer. I had to order a new one because I'm adding electric trailer brakes to my boat trailer and I needed a 5 wire lead instead of the standard 4 wire. [/black]

[black]I saw the Trophy there yesterday afternoon. Ya, Lee and the crew do a bang up job and they cook a pretty mean dutch oven chicken too! LOL![/black]

Hey Jurias, I'm sure none of the bft members would splash you, so they must be from some other site.
I can't help you with inconsiderate boaters, but as of 6:00 this morning, the whole channel is open, so at least you can get away from the marina.
