I haven't flyfished much for a few years,and when I did, I caught more trees than fish. I hope to drag my stuff out this spring for some crappie action. It's coming up quick!

You will enjoy the new sport of fly fishing a lot. The only problem for now is the high water flows that our rivers and streams are getting. It will be several months before you will be able to enjoy the river fishing. You may want to also invest in a float tube and try the lakes until the rivers slow down. If you do, get a full sinking fly line and fish with streamers, at places like Strawberry and Jordannelle. There are also many small reservoirs that fish well with a fly rod. Thats a great idea. I have a huge parking lot thats mostly empty of Saturdays and Sundays. Or we could even do it some evening now that it stays light later. Lets see what kind of interest it generates.

After 30 yrs of bait fishing, I finally got into fly fishing. It is no longer important if you catch a fish, now it is important how you catch a fish.
