[black]BFT Wiper Tournament Fish Fry[/black] Updated 6/01/2005
[black][/black]
[black]I've created a list of all the folks who have committed to come to the fish fry. If you plan on attending the fish fry and haven't committed as of yet, get your name on the list along with any in your group. If you'd like to bring a pot luck dish, let me know.[/black]

You don't have to fish the tournament to come to the fish fry. If you'd like to come to the fish fry, just get your name on the list! We would like an accurate head count so that plans can be solidified.

The Eagle Group Day Use Area sounds like a good idea, we can clean the fish when we recover our boats then bring them over to the cooking area. With the extra teams in the pot there should be plenty of money to use for paying the use fee and still have a nice chunk of money for the winner. Around $280 or so.
[signature]
I would recommend taking the money out of the pot and reserving the Eagle Group Day Use Area (assuming it is still available).

[black]As of yesterday, the Eagle Group site was unreserved. So that's not an issue. The issue is this. There are a few other expenses involved that are coming from the entry fees. Paper plates, plastic silverware, napkins, flags for the boats during the tourney, and oil for the fish fry. Compound that with the $110 day use fee and that is a significant portion of the entry fees. I'm not sure that is what we want to do.[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]I would like to see $300 in the pot for the tourney. That was my goal. That leaves $84 for the "other stuff". I haven't bought all the stuff yet. The supplies for the boat flags are purchased at a cost of $14. Oil, plates, plasticware, and napkins can be purchased at Sam's or Costco for a reasonable cost. Remember, this will have to cover in excess of 50 people.[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]Speaking of boat flags, I'll briefly explain this. Every boat in the tournament is required to have, in plain visible sight at all times, the "flag" provided to them for the tournament. This is so Judges can verify the boats that leave and come into the marina. It also allows all tournament fisherfolk to know which boats around them are also in the tournament. You'll hear more about this at the 7:00 am check-in on the morning of the tournament.[/black]

[#ff0000]All teams are required to be at the 7:00 am check-in brief.[/#ff0000]

I am willing to donate an additional $5.00 towards the rental and additional expenses -- and I would guess that a substantial number of those participating in the tournament would be willing to do the same.

The first two years the pot was a lot less than $300.00 but if thats what you want, a $5.00 fish dinner is still cheap and I would not mind chipping in an additional $5.

MY FEELINGS ARE IF ANY ONE WISHIES TO ATTEND THE FISH FRY MUST PAY 5 BUCKS A HEAD OR 10 BUCKS FOR A FAMILY TO COVER THE COST OF SUPPLIES JUST MY 2 CENTS

[red] Hey Rich, I'm more than glad to add in $10.00 for my team, it's going to be worth a lot more than that. Let me know how and when to get the money to you.[/red]

Our team will pitch in $10.00.

[black]The Eagle Group Day Use Area is reserved for June 4th. Total cost was $110.25. It is available for use for all BFT/Utah members for the entire day. Any contributions to help pay for it will be greatly appreciated to defray the costs on my credit card. For those of you who are not familiar with the North Marina area, here is a map to help you find the Day Use Area.[/black]

My team will be happy to put in 10 bucks toward the reservation of the site.
If 20 people put in five dollars each, then its easily a 100 bucks. This can be managed no problem, just leave the pot money alone for the winner who wants to take it home....[angelic][

Hey BLM count me in for $5. This sounds like alot of fun.

No problem on the reservation fees, I'll speak for my partner and I and we'll put our share as well. What form of payment would you like?

[black]We'll worry about the donations towards the group area on the day of the tourney. I'll set out a donation can at the fish fry. Anyone wishing to help out can drop their cash in the can.[/black]

[black]Sounds like a plan ... Gona be fun.[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]My team will definately put in a $10 spot.[/black]

[green]Didya set up some off limits time for your participants? For example, no fishing at Willard 4 or 5 days before saturday. It might be nice if you had some fish to catch.

[black]Ya, along with the other 40,000 people who fish there a day...[/black]
