Here is a news item on KSL.... I didn't know they had done any improvements....
(KSL NEWS) Saratoga Springs - Saratoga Springs city officials have spent five years and close to a million dollars upgrading Utah Lake's only western boating marina. This year city officials are optimistic it will be open because of the rising water levels.
Mayor Timothy Parker said, "We’ve put about million dollars into the boat harbor in the form of break waters. That was big investment. We added some landscaping and facilities around like picnic areas and restrooms. Last year you couldn’t use it all summer and there wasn’t a day you could actually go down and launch your boat where you valued your propeller. I was starting to wonder if it was a wise decision."
Now that the water level is up, Division of Wildlife Resources have given the city a grant to maintain the marina now that the lakes levels have risen. City leaders hope to have a banner year for boating.
