Hey all, big question here, and the proclamation don't exactly awnser it for me..

What kinds/types of Shad can be used at willard if any, also I see in posts about Shad raps? what's this?

and can any of these legally be used on Willard? I suspect yes, cuz some of you are using them. but I need to know more then what the book tells me.. thanks

ok. that tells me as much as the proclamation does. I know that.. but I see you guys typing all over about using Shad Rap's or some type of shad or something, I am TRYING to find out what you guys are using so I know what to get..

A shad rap is a lure not a bait. You're fine using something that looks like a shad.

any specific colors that are best working. or just play with em as usual?

You may want to try blue/chrome, or shad imitation patterns

I saw your PM but I thought I would answer you post in case others had the same question. Mike is right about the shad and it not being legal to use as bait or even having them. The shad rap is a lure made by Rapala, you can buy them at any sporing goods store. The shad rap that has been working the best is the one in the shad pattern about 5 inches long. There are other lures that will work also on any given day, like the Producer in the blue back white sides. Good luck, I hope this helps. WH2

One thing that can save you lots of money is the closeouts.Wally world every so often clears out goodies dirt cheap.Sportsmans does it every so often too but not as cheap as wally world.Wait till cabelas pens up . I am going to miami next week and i will hit bass pro and load up on their closeouts that they dont advertise .They put these large tables with these closeout deals and you can get a ton of great deals there.I have caught my biggest fish on a lot of cheapie stuff.
